Carrick Rangers boss Stuart King has voiced his frustration at the eleventh hour postponement of last night's Premiership clash with Linfield.
The NI Football League announced just after 4pm that the game was off in line with its Covid Case Policy.
King says the timing of the postponement was his main bone of contention, and questioned why a decision could not have been taken earlier in the week.
"To get told two hours before we were due to meet isn't ideal at all," King told BBC Sportsound.
"We had players from England over, we had families over, we had people from other clubs across the water coming to the game.
"There were also fans from Denmark who had travelled over to support Linfield.
"It's just not ideal and doesn't look good on the league and it was just really, really disappointing because it was going to be a big day for us and the club.
"I doubt we will get the same crowd for a Tuesday night game, but I hope so. Because the club needs it.
"It's just really disappointing, and the fact that some Linfield players didn't know either and were contacting me asking what the situation was, it doesn't show up too good on the league."
Asked whether the situation could have been better handled, King added: "Yeah, without doubt.
"Two hours before we were due to meet isn't ideal at all. We are part-time, we are not full-time. Boys work and work days to get around football. And now plans have to change.
"And not having a game at this stage of the season isn't ideal at all."
