Carol Vorderman surprises This Morning presenters with 'lovely' fact about her name

Famous Clifton resident Carol Vorderman shared the "lovely" reason why she is called Carol on today's episode of This Morning (November 18). Carol shot to fame back in the day on Countdown and has since starred in a number of reality programmes, including Celebrity Gogglebox and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

Recently, the 61-year-old has been a guest on This Morning a number of times to give her verdict on the happenings within camp on this year's series of I'm A Celebrity. The maths genius appeared on the show herself back in 2016 and is rumoured to be making a return to the show for an 'All Stars' spin-off next year, which has already been filmed in South Africa.

Earlier today, Carol pleasantly surprised This Morning presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary when she revealed the reason behind her name, WalesOnline reports. The star said: "There is a specific reason... it is because I was born on Christmas Eve, Christmas Carol.
