Carol Vorderman has revealed that she's taken legal action against an alleged stalker who she claimed had been plaguing her life. The 62-year-old former Countdown star made the shock admission on social media after discussing her upcoming plans for 2023.
Commenting on a camper van she'd recently bought in which to go travelling, the presenter from Prestatyn said she'd so far been reliant on friends to accompany her when venturing out, thanks to her 'Vorder stalker'. "Next year I’ll be away much more in my @vordervan," she wrote on her Instagram account.
"Had to go with my friends in their vans this year 'cos of a bit of a 'Vorder stalker' thing going on. But 'civil restraining orders' have now been signed, so ONWARDS."

'Ain’t no stopping me now, I’m on the move. "Here’s to a healthy 2023." she added. "OUTDOORS 2022. I’m alive and breathe when I’m outdoors, properly outside. From walking 13 Miles a day with @jules__sampson.....to hiking in the @breconbeaconsnp to beachcombing....I just love it all."
Vorderman also shared a montage of clips showing her escapades throughout the year, from atop a frosty looking Pen y Fan to relaxing beachside in sunnier climes. And the post attracted a huge response from her fans.
"Awesome adventures," replied one. "Look forwards to seeing all of your adventures in your van next year." Meanwhile, another added: "You will inspire so many to live life to the full." Carol Vorderman will appear on Channel Four's Taskmaster New Year's Treat which is due to screen on New Year's Day (January 1) at 9pm.
