Carol Vorderman has spoken out about her life as a single woman, following her two failed marriages.
Appearing on This Morning earlier today, the former Countdown presenter, 61, described one of her marriages as 'happy' and the other as 'unhappy', as she revealed she prefers the company of 'special friends' these days rather than ever consider walking down the aisle.
Sitting next to her Celebrity Gogglebox pal Gyles Brandreth, the star wowed ITV viewers with her youthful appearance, as she and Gyles joined hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond on the show's Love Clinic segment to offer viewer's advice on their dating dilemmas.
As Gyles admitted he had been 'blessed' meeting his now-wife, he explained how he and Carol are on 'different journey' - telling his pal: "Your line of life has been different."
"It has been different," Carol agreed.
"I've been married twice. First one was not happy, second one was very happy and then it ended."
Carol was first married in 1985 at age 24 to Christopher Mather, a Royal Navy officer, but the pair split after just 12 months together.
The star went on to tie the knot with management consultant Patrick King in 1990 at age 30, with the couple welcoming two children into the world together before going their separate ways in 2000.
"I'm a great believer in chapters of my life, and some are extended chapters and some aren't," Carol continued when offering her romantic advice to viewers.
"I now, the last ten years or so, live a very much freer life where I have special friends and I am not looking for one person."
Viewers watching at home were quick to react to Carol's admission, with one quipping on social media: "Just turned on #ThisMorning to Carol telling us once again about her 'Special Friends'."
"Special friends. Oh, really, Carol? #ThisMorning," another mused, as a third quipped: "I bet Carol's kids are cringing every time she mentions her "special friends". #ThisMorning."
Carol have previously spoken about her 'special friends', telling the MailOnline in 2020: "I'm very happy, I have no complaints. I am not dating anyone, I have special friends. Special friends. Plural."
The star's most recent serious romance following the end of her second marriagewas with pilot Graham Duff but the couple split in 2016.
