Carol Vorderman has handed over the reins of her health and fitness regime to a new personal trainer so she can still fit until she turns 80.
The self-confessed fitness fan, 61, opened up to her followers on Instagram ahead of her 62nd birthday to share her approach to exercise to maintain her body and mind.
The TV star, who has just returned from South Africa after filming I'm A Celeb All Stars series shared a glimpse of the place she was staying at after her stint as she showed off her toned abs in an army print crop top.
Carol flaunted her strength as she demonstrated kettlebell sequences in a series of snaps and a video.
The Bristol based beauty has signed up to a gym near her home town in a bid to continue her fitness into later life.
She told followers: 'I'm DETERMINED to stay fit and active and healthy as hell as I'm knocking on 62 years old.
''Been a gym goer since they started opening for women in the mid 90s. Now with my busy life being everywhere.....London, Bristol, Cardiff, West Wales, Manchester, abroad.....I want someone who will tell me what to do and when, every day.'
Former Countdown star Carol was keen to stress although she is more than happy to be put through her paces by a coach rather than go it alone.
She added: "'I'm really good at taking instruction, very disciplined but if I have to make it up as I go along every day, then I only do half of the gym work. It's just that emails and all sorts to do with my businesses start to kick in and work takes over the day.
'So Grant @g.p_fit_ and I started this new system this morning. He's in charge.'
And handing over the reins to her PT she later updated followers that he first session was a success as she focussed on upper body strength with handstands and full press ups.
Her second day on the circuit so her trying out a set of kettlebells before launching into impressive squats.
Signing off the update she penned: "'It was a heavy 2 hour workout morning....slow and steady with this sesh....…. lols,' she captioned the video.
