“I’ve had enough,” TV presenter Carol Vorderman fumed as she took to social media to ask her followers whether they thought it was time for a general election in the wake of the partygate scandal. The 62-year-old former Countdown star added, in block capital letters, “GENERAL ELECTION NOW”. Do you agree with her? Let us know in the comments.
The tweet came as Carol shared the news that a report had found former Prime Minister Boris Johnson had 'deliberately’ misled MPs over partygate - read more about that here.
Carol, who earlier this year appeared on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, is an outspoken and staunch critic of the current government. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.

As ever, Carol received several comments in reply, with one person writing: "So where does this leave Sunak? Didn't he deny attending any parties or breaking Covid rules in the House of Commons ? And yet he was fined. Is he in the same boat as Johnson?."
A second then added: “Morning Carol. I’ve had a enough of the Tories since 2016 #GeneralElectionN0W. I have no confidence in the Conservatives/Tories forming a government!!” And a third wrote: “I agree, Carol, and I love your stance.”
A further person commented: "Exactly, every-time these guys speak i feel ill, this morning on @LBC @SuellaBraverman was saying the legacy backlog went down 17,000 soo they are winning, this while the overall increase was almost 30,000 everything they say is fake, she is saying we did some work."
