'Carnage' on A77 at Kilmarnock as police close flood-hit road in both directions

A77 Kilmarnock Police

Kilmarnock's busiest road has been closed in both directions due to flooding, Traffic Scotland has confirmed.

The A77 has been shut down by police at the Bellfield Interchange. It's understood that officers are stationed at the northbound slip to Glasgow.

One motorist described the roads as 'carnage' with heavy flooding dotted throughout the region today.
