Carly Simon reveals Parkinson’s diagnosis as she announces new album

Carly Simon

Iconic singer Carly Simon, 83, has disclosed that she has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Simon also revealed she had basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer, which was surgically removed from her face.
These health complications, along with previous knee and hip arthritis, contributed to her withdrawal from public view.
She described the physical and mental challenges of Parkinson's, including fatigue, anxiety, depression, and apathy.
Despite her health struggles, Simon announced a new album, Comes in Waves, due for release on 14 August, marking her first original work in 18 years.
