Carlos Corberan is the current favourite to replace Jesse Marsch as Leeds United head coach following the American's sacking on Monday afternoon.
A disappointing 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back for Marsch's tenure at Elland Road. Winless since November in the Premier League, the board parted ways with the American coach in a 74-word statement on Monday.
It did not take long before the rumour mill went into overdrive and given the club's admission that they are already searching for Marsch's replacement, Leeds supporters started to get a picture of who their next manager may be. One name that would have been all too familiar with fans would have been that of current West Bromwich Albion boss Corberan.

Yet the managerial journey he has been on since his time at Elland Road may be far less familiar.
The Spaniard spent three years at Leeds, arriving as the club's U23 manager in 2017. Corberan would eventually be promoted to first-team coach and worked closely with Marcelo Bielsa until his departure in the summer of 2020.
The 39-year-old went on to take the top job at Huddersfield Town and made it all the way to the play-off finals with the Terriers during the 2021/22 season. However, a defeat to Nottingham Forest in the play-off final saw Corberan resign and move on to become head coach of Greek side Olympiacos.
A six-week spell in Europe flew by as Corberan was shown the door with Olympiacos sitting sixth in the Greek Super League. Yet just over a month later, he was appointed as West Brom's new manager.
Taking over in October last year with the Baggies second from bottom in the Championship, they now find themselves in the play-off places. Corberan will no doubt be looking to go one step further than he managed with the Terriers and return West Brom to the Premier League.
However, it appears that the former Leeds coach may have been offered a shortcut to the English top-flight with the most recent links to become the Whites head coach.
