The attitude and determination of Leeds United-linked midfielder Jayson Molumby will take him far in the game. That’s the belief of his West Bromwich Albion head coach Carlos Corberan, who could be heard waxing lyrical about the Republic of Ireland international earlier in the season.
According to Alan Nixon, Leeds are keen on Molumby as they prepare for life back in the second tier of English football. The 23-year-old was a key man for West Brom this season, making 47 appearances in all competitions and finding the back of the net on four separate occasions.
The Whites are already short of midfield options following the release of Adam Forshaw earlier this month and the expected departures of Marc Roca and Tyler Adams make the middle of the park something of a priority when it comes to recruitment this summer. As such, it comes as little surprise to see a centre-midfielder being one of the first players to be linked with an Elland Road switch this summer.
The Irishman, who represented his nation on Friday against Greece, is highly regarded at The Hawthorns after making the permanent switch from Brighton last summer, but if the report is to be believed, he could be available. Corberan, who has also been linked with a move to Leeds this summer as head coach, is clearly a fan of what Molumby offers and he took the opportunity to sing his praises after a 2-1 win over Stoke City back in April.

Molumby scored both goals in the game as the Baggies came from behind to win and he did so on the back of receiving a painkilling injection.
"I think the personality and the goals that he has are very huge," Corberan said of the Leeds-linked man.
"The commitment that he has with himself, with the club, with the team, he was playing today with a lot of pain in the ankle.
"He was having to have an injection to play today, yesterday he couldn't complete training, only half, but he is going to make a career because he has the determination to make it.
"Some people with adversity – they give up! And Molumby is not going to do that."
Molumby started his career at Brighton, but after loans with Millwall, Preston North End and West Brom, he made the decision to step down from the Premier League and chase regular game time in the second tier.
