Carl Starfelt is blanking speculation of English Premier League interest as the Swedish stopper says “I have no thoughts right now except Celtic.”
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said last month that there were admiring glances from south of the border in the player who arrived at Parkhead for around £4 million from Rubin Kazan in the summer of 2021 and has become a key player for Ange Postecoglou alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers in the heart of the Hoops defence.
The 27-year-old is currently on International duty as Sweden prepare for their opening Euro 2024 qualifying fixtures against Belgium and Azerbaijan. And asked by Fotbollskanalen if he was interested in a move to England, he said: “No, I like it very much as it is right now. My agent will take care of the rest and then if something comes up, we’ll deal with it then. But I have no thoughts right now except for Celtic.”
