Caring Newarthill woman is this week’s Say It With Flowers recipient

Kind-hearted Jane Nisbet was a tower of strength to her close friend Dorine Wilson following the tragic loss of her two sons.

Jane was on hand to offer support when Dorine's son Scott was tragically killed in a car accident and also helped with fundraising following the loss of her other son, Graeme.

Dorine told Lanarkshire Live: “Jane is a young lady with a loving, caring heart who helps everyone who needs help.

“She helped to raise money to get rainbow benches in the community, and one for my son Graeme who sadly passed away. Jane did this while dealing with the loss of her own sister, Samantha.

Dorine explained: “Jane organised a big fundraiser in the Cleland Club to help pay for the funeral costs and a head stone, as well as fundraising for a rainbow bench.

“She’s like a daughter to me and has supported me through many sad times over the past few years, after the tragic loss of my son Scott in a car accident.

“She calls every day to see that I’m OK and I can’t thank her enough for her love and support.”

When Dorine told us about mum-of-three Jane, we were delighted to help out.

And surprised her with a beautiful floral arrangement at her home, courtesy of our friends at Pixies Petals in Newmains.

Dorine told us: “She has been a fantastic friend and I think she deserves something nice.

“I can’t thank her enough for her love and support over the years. She has also helped her mum to look after her niece Jamieleigh since her sister sadly passed away.”
