A Scots man caring for his mum has told of his pride at her 'strong heart' she bravely battles dementia. Alastair Clunie, from Bearsden in East Dunbartonshire, has looked after his mum Mary Kathleen full time after she was diagnosed with the disease three years ago.
The 85-year-old was given the heartbreaking news she had vascular dementia in 2019 after she lost her mobility. The family's pain was only compounded last year when Alastair's father Jack passed away.
Now the 46-year-old has opened up on his mother's journey, telling how the pair listen to music together to help get them through.
