Cardinals were a top-10 offense with Kyler Murray at QB

The Arizona Cardinals had struggles offensively for most of the season but things changed once Kyler Murray returned to the lineup after fully recovering from his torn ACL.

The team’s media relations department released some stats about the season and one stands out.

In the eight games Murray played, the Cardinals were a top-10 offensive unit.

In the final eight games, they ranked in the top 10 in the league in yards, first downs, rushing average, rushing yards per game, completion percentage and third-down conversion.

They were 13th in scoring after Murray’s return.

They made significant improvement in basically every offensive category. Check out the numbers:

The Cardinals already had a good rushing offense before Murray’s return. Even that was better when he played.

The offensive side of the ball is where there is some hope moving forward. They have their quarterback. The running back room looks good. They have a soon-to-be star tight end in Trey McBride. The offensive line is largely solid.

They need upgrades at receiver and, if they get them, Arizona’s offense should be fun in 2024.
