The Arizona Cardinals will be able to have official visits with 30 NFL draft prospects over the next few weeks. They will fly them in, meet with them in the facility, eat dinner with them and spend a lot of one-on-one time with them.
They will use one of their top-30 visits on Auburn cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett, according to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo.
Pritchett had one of the best combine performances among defensive backs.
Measuring in at six feet tall and 190 pounds, he ran the 40 in 4.36 seconds, a time beaten by only two cornerbacks at the NFL combine. He added a 34.5-inch vertical leap.
Pritchett also had a strong Senior Bowl.
He played in only nine games last season for Auburn and had 22 total tackles, a tackle for loss, an interception and three pass breakups.
The Cardinals often do a mix of top prospects, later-round players and guys they anticipate will go undrafted.
Pritchett is viewed as a possible Day 2 selection. The Cardinals and four selections on Day 2 of the draft — one pick in the second round and three in the third.
