As the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals get set for their Week 9 showdown, there has been plenty of quarterback movement. The Cardinals named Josh Dobbs their starter, benched him, then traded him to the Minnesota Vikings. They have since been non-committal on which quarterback they will start between Kyler Murray and Clayton Tune. Today, however, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that Tune will get the start.
Murray has returned to practice for the Cardinals after tearing his ACL a year ago, and head coach Jonathan Gannon has stated that they have not ruled him out this week against the Browns. He is listed as questionable. However, Gannon may have tipped his hand in practice as it was Tune getting all of the work with the starters, while Murray was throwing to the reserves.
Regardless, it seems like Jim Schwartz and his defense will have an opportunity to get after the rookie quarterback in his NFL debut.
