The Arizona Cardinals entered the new league year with three exclusive rights free agents. These are players who have not yet had three credited seasons and have not reached where teams still hold their playing rights.
Wide receiver Greg Dortch was one. He already re-signed his one-year qualifying tender.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter is another.
He has not re-signed yet, but according to the official team site’s free agent tracker, it is only a matter of time.
The team tendered him a qualifying offer.
In the case of exclusive rights free agents, if a team extends a qualifying tender, the player can choose to sign it and remain with the team or not play in the NFL.
When he signs the tender, he will be scheduled to make $870,000.
Last season, in 14 games, he had 22 tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in 275 defensive snaps.
