The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move on their practice squad on Friday. They signed undrafted rookie free agent Matthew Jones, an offensive lineman, to their practice squad.
Jones is 6-foot-3 and 320 pounds and plays guard and center. He signed with the Miami Dolphins after he went undrafted this year and spent the offseason with them. He has not been with another team on their roster or practice squad since then.
He was a teammate at Ohio State with Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson and had a tryout with Arizona in October.
While at Ohio State, he started 29 games in 53 appearance between 2019-2023. His last two seasons, he was All-Big 10.
Arizona’s practice squad has 16 of its 17 slots filled:

Defensive lineman DeAngelo Blackson is on the practice squad injured reserve and inside linebacker Markus Bailey is suspended.
