The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move on Friday, adding a linebacker. They signed linebacker Tyreke Smith to the active roster off the practice squad of the Seattle Seahawks.
Smith is 6-foot-3 and 255 pounds.
He was drafted in the fifth round last year out of Ohio State and spent his rookie season on injured reserve. He played in one game this season and had a tackle on 14 special teams snaps.
In his time collegiately playing fort he Buckeyes, he played in 41 games, starting 17. He logged 55 tackles and seven sacks. As a senior in 2021, Smith started nine of 10 games played and had 26 tackles and three sacks.
He gives the Cardinals another outside linebacker to look at.
He will not play this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers.
