Former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Naquan Jones has joined the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals. The move was announced via the league’s transactions wire on Friday.
A 2021 undrafted free-agent signing of the Titans out of Michigan State, Jones played in 32 games (seven starts) in Tennessee in two-plus seasons.
Jones recorded 53 combined tackles (six for loss), 3.5 sacks and a pair of passes defensed during his time in Nashville. This season, he’s tallied just eight tackles and no sacks.
After an impressive rookie campaign, Jones fell out of favor in 2022 and saw his playing time reduced. Over 19 games in the last season-plus, Jones saw nearly half the snap share he saw during his first season. He was eventually waived earlier this week.
There is already some familiarity with Jones in Arizona, as the team’s general manager, Monti Ossenfort, previously worked in the Titans’ front office over Jones’ first two seasons with the team.
