Seahawks 7, Cardinals 3
The Cardinals could not pick up a first down after the fumble recover but did get three points. Matt Prater hit a 44-yard field goal to get the Cardinals on the board.
D.J. Humphries ejected
It was a bit of a mess, but the Cardinals and Seahawks had a number of flags thrown and the Cardinals lost their left tackle.
The Seahawks were called for roughing the passer on a play in which Devon Witherspoon picked off Josh Dobbs’ pass. That interception was nullified but Humphries struck an official when he took a swipe at a Seattle player. He was tossed from the game and Kelvin Beachum replaced him at left tackle.
The result was first-and-goal from the Seattle 25.

Rookie receiver Jake Bobo made a fantastic one-handed grab of a throw in the end zone, covered by Starling Thomas. It was initially ruled an incompletion, saying his second foot touched the sideline. The Seahawks challenged and it was overturned. He scored on an 18-yard touchdown reception to give the Seahawks the lead.
Seahawks 17, Cardinals 10
The Seahawks extended their lead to seven points with a 21-yard field goal from Jason Myers. It was great for the Cardinals, who stuffed Seattle three times after Geno Smith got them a first-and-goal from the one.
GARRETT WILLIAMS INT
The Cardinals took the ball away from the Seahawks in the red zone. Rookie cornerback Garrett Williams, making his NFL debut, picked off a pass at the eon that was intended for Jake Bobo.
Cardinals take it away again!
The Cardinals did nothing after Williams’ interception, but the defense tooh the ball away for the third time. Geno Smith fumbled the snap and Kevin Strong recovered it.
MISSED FG!
The Cardinals failed to capitalize on a turnover for the second straight possession. Trey McBride had a 19-yard catch but the drive stalled after a bad snap and 14-yard loss. Matt Prater missed a 34-yard field goal.
A failed fake
The Cardinals were in Seattle territory on fourth down and the offense partly came off the field. They lined up for a fake with rookie quarterback Clayton Tune, who threw a four-yard pass on fourth-and-9.
It was a weird play.
Seahawks 20, Cardinals 10
The Seahawks tacked on three more points to make it a 10-point game with 2:17 left in the game. They took 2:41 off the clock after the Cardinals turned the ball over on downs.
Cardinals turn it over on downs, Seahawks run out the clock
The Cardinals picked up one first down but Dobbs was sacked twice, including on fourth down. Geno Smith took two kneeldowns to run the clock out and give the Seahawks a 20-10 win.
