The Arizona Cardinals hoped to even their record to 3-3 in Week 6, facing a Seattle Seahawks team struggling on defense. It was supposed to be a game where the Arizona offense got better.
Buy Cardinals TicketsIt didn’t.
While they scored points in the first quarter for the first time, Arizona did not score an offensive touchdown against a defense that was dead last in points allowed.
Quarterback Kyler Murray rushed for 100 yards but turned the ball over twice with an interception and a fumble, and he was sacked six times.
The defense held Seattle to only 296 total yards of offense, but the Cardinals’ offense went 4-for-16 on third down and 1-for-5 on fourth down.
In the end, they lose 19-9 and fall into last place in the NFC West. They are 2-4 and 0-2 in the division.

Seahawks 12, Cardinals 3
The Seahawks get another field goal, this time from 32 yards, to extend the lead.
They get help, as the officials make a pair of awful calls to extend the drive. On a tipped pass that falls incomplete, rookie linebacker Jesse Luketa is flagged for roughing the passer, despite not hitting him late.
On a third-down pass breakup by Antonio Hamilton, Cameron Thomas is called for a defensive hold that never happens.
That would have forced a punt.
Ken Walker has a 20-yard run but, on third down, Markus Golden gets his first sack of the year to force the kick.
