With six weeks completed in the NFL season, we can start looking ahead to the 2024 NFL draft, especially with the Cardinals sitting at 1-5 and potentially looking at the top pick in the draft.
NFL.com’s Chad Reuter shared the current 2024 draft order plus each team’s top draft needs, and the Cardinals currently have a top-five and one in the top 20.
Because they own the Houston Texans’ 2024 first-round pick, if the season ended today, they would have the No. 3 pick and the No. 18 pick.
Having a top-five pick is no surprise, but it is quite surprising to see the Texans, projected to be arguably as bad as the Cardinals in 2024, sitting at 3-3.
Ahead of the Cardinals with the two top picks in the draft currently are the Chicago Bears — both of them. The Bears own the Carolina Panthers’ 2024 first-rounder. That pick is first overall. The Bears’ own pick would be second overall.
