Here are your Cardiff City headlines for Saturday, September 24.
Gavin Whyte 'always asking about club he loves' Oxford United
Cardiff City fringe player Gavin Whyte is "always asking" about his old club Oxford United, according to ex-Bluebirds defender Ciaron Brown.
Whyte spent last year on loan at Oxford, following a spell at Hull City the season before, and it was thought he may end up leaving Cardiff for good this season.

However, he stayed in the Welsh capital, but has seen precious little game-time. The same cannot be said for former Cardiff centre-back Ciaron Brown, who did move to the U's and has become and important player for them.
While on international duty with Northern Ireland, Brown said Whyte, who Cardiff signed from Oxford in 2019, is very much taking an interest in the League One side as he struggles for minutes with the Bluebirds.
“He’s a good guy and a good player, so it’s nice to see a familiar face,” the defender said. “He’s always asking me how it’s going, how the team is and how certain players are.
“He always keeps in contact because he loves this club. When I see him, the first thing we talk about is Oxford. He’s always interested and looks at what’s going on.”
Whyte has just 31 minutes of Championship action to his name this season.
Paul Ince staying at Reading
Paul Ince will be staying at Reading after being linked with the managerial post at Cardiff City, according to the Reading Chronicle.
Reports emerged in the week that Ince was being considered as a candidate to take over following the dismissal of Steve Morison last Sunday.
Those links were played down to WalesOnline and it appears the same is being said in Berkshire, too. The report states that the Bluebirds have made no contact over Ince's position and that the manager remains '100 percent committed' to the project with the Royals.
WalesOnline understands Mark Hudson will take charge of the club for the upcoming matches.
Mini South Wales derby result
The Bluebirds came out on top in their under-18 South Wales derby with Swansea City.
The big dance is not until next month, but it's always good to keep an eye on how the junior sides fare in these fixtures, with pride still very much at stake on both sides.
And it was the blue side of the derby which came out victors in the end, with second-half goals from Kyle Kenniford, who netted from the penalty spot, and Cody Twose.
City fans will hope for a similar outcome when Mark Hudson and Russell Martin's sides meet at the Swansea.com Stadium on October 23.
Meanwhile, Joel Colwill and James Crole both started for Wales under-19s this afternoon in their 2-0 loss to the Republic of Ireland. Morgan Wigley began the game on the bench.
Swansea City Under-18s: Ewan Griffiths, Sam Parker, Seb Dabrowski, Arthur Parker (Richard Faakye 66), David Roberts (Aimar Govea 57), Josh Carey, Dan Watts, Kyrell Wilson (Rohan Davies 85), Geoff Bony, Iwan Morgan, Zane Myers.
Unused subs: Kit Margetson, Jacob Cook.
Cardiff City Under-18s: Jake Dennis, Joe Keeping, Luey Giles, Morgan Lewis, Dylan Lawlor, Dan Barton, Cole Fleming (Cody Twose 46), Kyle Kenniford, Gabriele Biancheri, Isaac Jeffries, Japhet Mpadi (Trey George 90).
Unused subs: Callum Jones, Joe Thomas, Tana Jones.
Injury update
Cardiff expect to welcome back more players in the not-too-distant future.
Kion Etete is understood to be back on the grass, but with final boxes to be ticked. Joe Ralls is in the same situation, too. Ebou Adams is in the latter stages of his recovery, but is not quite fully up to speed yet.
Isaak Davies is taking a little longer, though, and no concrete timeframe has been given for his return, other than to say he won't be rushed.
Republic of Ireland duo O'Dowda and Callum Robinson won't return to Cardiff's Vale base until Thursday, which will see a quick turnaround before the home clash with the Clarets at the weekend. You can read the full story here .
