Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City news for Wednesday, December 14.
Bacuna signs for Watford
Former Cardiff City midfielder Leandro Bacuna has signed for Watford on a free transfer.
The 31-year old has been a free agent ever since his contract in the Welsh capital came to an end over the summer, and has put pen to paper on a short-term deal that will keep him at Vicarage Road until the end of the season.
Bacuna has been training with Slaven Bilic's squad for a number of weeks, and could now be in contention for Saturday's clash with Huddersfield Town.
During his time with the Bluebirds, he made more than 100 appearances, although his time in a City shirt ended on something of a sour note.
His last appearance for Cardiff came in a 3-0 defeat away at Bournemouth last December, where he was shown a straight red card for a brainless challenge on Philip Billing.
However, he now looks set to make a return to Championship action with the Hornets, who are among the sides gunning for promotion to the Premier League.
Philogene back in training
Cardiff striker Jaden Philogene appears to have returned to training following a recent hernia operation.
The forward went under the knife over the World Cup break, after missing last month's clash with Sheffield United.
There had been suggestions he could be out until the new year, but it appears he's made good progress in his recovery.
In a social media post, the club posted a picture of Mark Hudson's side being put through their paces, with the Aston Villa man among those spotted.
Madine in line for Bluebirds reunion
Blackpool boss Michael Appleton is confident Gary Madine will be fit to face his former club on Saturday.
The striker was taken off after 70 minutes of his side's draw with Birmingham City last weekend, and has reportedly been struggling with a chest problem in the last week.
However, when asked whether Madine might be fit enough to play against Cardiff, Appleton told LancsLive: “I think so, yeah. It’s not an injury as such, it’s more illness. He’s been struggling and we’ve had our fair share of lads who have been out with illness over the last six weeks or maybe even 10 weeks now, as we’ve had the four-week break.
“As a club it’s been a difficult time with injuries and illnesses. To be fair to him, he gave us the best part of an hour against Birmingham and if that’s the same again against Cardiff, then so be it. All I can say is if we have the impact we have off the bench from a couple of the subs, then we’ll be all right.”
