Here's your round-up of all the latest Cardiff City news for Tuesday, June 27.
King signs new deal
Cardiff City youngster Eli King has signed a new three-year deal at the club.
King has so far made seven first team appearances for the Bluebirds over the past two seasons, and was loaned out to Crewe Alexandra last term.
Speaking to Cardiff City TV after signing his new deal, the 20-year-old said: "I'm absolutely buzzing. It's nice to get it over the line, and now start pre-season with the boys.
"Pre-season is about trying to impress, and get your fitness up as well. We've got games coming thick and fast in pre-season which will help us get our fitness up, but also help us develop as a team quickly under the new manager.
"I've had a taste of senior football, and I feel like I've developed a lot in these past two seasons through being involved in first team football. This season is about pushing on and being really involved in senior football."
Cardiff to enter Nathaniel MG Cup
Cardiff City have been confirmed as one of two wildcard entries for next season's Nathaniel MG Cup.
The competition will also include 12 clubs from the JD Cymru Prmier, as well 16 clubs each from the JD Cyrmu North and JD Cymru South.
Cardiff, along with south Wales rivals Swansea City, have been handed a spot in the competition, with the draw set to take place at 7pm on June 27.
It will be the second time Cardiff have appeared in the tournament. A team featuring the likes of Rubin Colwill and Isaak Davies beat Taffs Well 2-0 back in the 2020/21 season before the competition was called off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first round of this year's competition has been pencilled in for the weekend of July 21.
Former duo sign new deals at Rotherham
Sean Morrison and Lee Peltier have signed new deals at Rotherham United.
Both players have put pen to paper on one-year contracts with the Millers, having helped the club retain their Championship status last season.
Morrison and Peltier played together at Cardiff, and were part of the side that earned automatic promotion to the Premier League in 2017-18.
Peltier went on to join West Bromwich Albion in 2020, but made just seven appearances before moving to Middlesbrough in the summer of 2021.
Meanwhile, Morrison joined the Millers after spending almost nine years with the Bluebirds, making 295 appearances in the process.
