Warne's stance revealed
Derby County boss Paul Warne has distanced himself from Cardiff City defender Curtis Nelson.
The 29-year-old can barely get a look-in at Cardiff present, with the Bluebirds possessing a healthy number of centre-backs in the squad.
Over the weekend it was revealed Derby were reportedly expressing an interest in taking the central defender on loan in January.
But Warne says he's had zero contact so far and rubbished the links.
"Absolute zero. I am not saying Curtis Nelson isn't a good player. He's had a good career, but I've not had any conversations with him," he said.
"I've had no conversations with his agent so names just come up all the time. It's unbelievable. I wouldn't be surprised if I am linked to David Beckham if he comes out of retirement. If there is a player I am in for, oddly enough, it never gets out because you don't want it to. I don't know who would possibly leak a story on a player that isn't true. I don't know who could benefit from it."
Hudson has hinted the door isn't closed on Nelson, saying there are plenty of games still to play over a long season with plans having already altered as the campaign has progressed.

"Every player wants to play all the time, you can only pick XI," he said when asked how difficult it is to keep those on the fringes happy.
"We sit and speak with every player and have a plan. When you’re not playing you know you want to be in the team and it’s about managing that disappointment.
"It’s a long season, there are a lot of games. We have had to change it in recent weeks."
Early Cardiff v Hull team news
Callum Robinson is back in contention after serving a three-match ban following his red card against Swansea City, so he will be expected to lead the line tonight.
Rubin Colwill could also return after not playing a game under Hudson just yet. The club hope he can play a part in the two remaining games before the World Cup break.
On the flipside, two important players in Cedric Kipre and Ryan Wintle will both miss the fixture due to suspension, with both players having been given five yellow cards this season.
Ebou Adams (pectoral muscle) is out, while Isaak Davies (knee) is unlikely to feature before the World Cup. Jamilu Collins remains a long-term absentee.
For the Tigers, top-scorer Oscar Estupinan is out after he received a red card against Millwall at the weekend. Callum Elder, Harvey Vale, Benjamin Tetteh and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh are also injured, while Vaughn Covil and Billy Chadwick are also ruled out.

Prutton prediction
Sky Sports presenter David Prutton has backed tonight's visitors to get all three points at Cardiff City Stadium.
The Tigers will have a new man in the dugout in Liam Rosenior, and despite the Bluebirds' impressive win at Sunderland last weekend, Prutton has plumped for a 2-1 away victory.
"That was a well-deserved win for Cardiff at Sunderland on Saturday," he said. "They have picked up two wins from three to just ease away from the relegation zone.
"Hull battled to a point in their first game under Liam Rosenior with 10 men. I'll back them to pick up a first win under their new manager here."
