Wolves make Beale number-one target
Queens Park Rangers have been plunged into uncertainty ahead of Wednesday night's Championship clash with Cardiff City, amid reports Wolves are poised to approach boss Michael Beale in a bid to make him their next manager.
According to The Athletic, Wolves have made the QPR boss their number-one target to replace Bruno Lage.

The Midlands club are expected to move quickly, with contact anticipated between the two clubs to discuss his potential release.
Beale's contract is believed to include a release clause, and his future now looks to be shrouded in uncertainty ahead of tonight's clash with the Bluebirds.
The 42-year-old was understood to be a name admired by Cardiff themselves back when the club were on the search for a replacement for Mick McCarthy.
Beale only took over in west London in June, and has led them to sixth in the Championship ahead of the visit of Mark Hudson's side.
Hudson not feeling pressure of audition
Cardiff City's interim boss Mark Hudson insists he's not held any conversations with the club's hierarchy over his long-term future at the club.
Hudson tasted defeat for the first time since taking the reins from Steve Morison on Saturday, with Coventry City leaving the capital with all three points.
They will look to bounce back straight away at QPR tonight, with the small matter of a South Wales derby just around the corner.
Both games could go some way to deciding whether he will get the job on a permanent basis, although he says he's not yet had any indication over what is likely to come next.
"I’ve spoken to the owner and the board," Hudson said when asked if there were any changes to his situation. "It’s a focus we’re trying to do the best we can do.
"That is all I care about. Doing the best I can for the football club and the team. The focus for the players is to get results."
Asked if he felt he was on audition, he added: "If you had the job or didn’t you’d always be auditioning in a way. If you had the role permanently, you still have to do your job to the best of your ability.
"That’s all I’d ever do. I don’t feel that pressure. I focus on what I can do for the team and what we can do together as a unit. That’s where we’re at, at the moment."
Bond to take charge of derby
Darren Bond will take charge of Sunday's South Wales derby at the Swansea.com Stadium.
It will be the third Cardiff fixture he has officiated this season, and the second time he's overseen the Swans.
He will be assisted by Shaun Hudson and Philip Dermott. David Webb will be the fourth official.
U21s continue winning run
Cardiff City's U21 side stretched their unbeaten run to three league games, after easing past Watford on Tuesday afternoon.
Following a goalless first half in Hertfordshire, the young Bluebirds found a late winner when substitute Raheem Conte fired home from close range.
The win follows on from successes over Swansea City and Reading.
"We made hard work of a game that we should've won easily," said boss Darren Purse. "In the first half, we struggled to get going and lacked that cutting edge in the final third.
"However, we put pointers into the boys' heads at half-time, and they took ownership of the performance, talked through what they weren't doing in the first half, and went out after the interval making up for it.
"They deserve credit for that, but need to start the game better than they did today."
