Here are your Cardiff City headlines for Sunday, October 2.
'No timescale' on Colwill return
Mark Hudson has been given no return-to-play timescale for Rubin Colwill after the playmaker sustained a knock in training this week.
Colwill was a notable absentee for the clash with Burnley on Saturday, with Hudson having already teed that up in midweek by alluding to an injury the Wales international was carrying.
He said the club is still assessing the player's fitness, with Blackburn Rovers next up on Tuesday, and said Jaden Philogene was not selected owing to the form of Gavin Whyte.
"Rubin took a knock on Thursday, we are still assessing that and we are yet to have a timescale," Hudson said.
"Jaden, there are just decisions to be made and I thought Gav has gone away, he has scored and assisted, it's been positive for him and he showed that attitude to push. He has been left out a bit this year so that's testament to him and his character."
It was also a worry to see Cedric Kipre, who has been one of the Bluebirds' best players so far this term, be taken off due to injury late on in the clash with the Clarets. However, Hudson could not shed too much light on the defender's injury after the match.
"We will have to assess all the players," he said when asked about Kipre. "We are in tomorrow, so we will assess all the players tomorrow. We look forward to being as positive as we can, playing here again on Tuesday, under the lights, home crowd against Blackburn, we look forward to it."
Bellamy reveals shock at Morison exit
Craig Bellamy has revealed his surprise at Cardiff's decision to sack Steve Morison just 10 games into the season.
In a wide-ranging interview with the Central Club podcast, Bellamy spoke about the vacant manager's job and why he wouldn't be interested in the role at the minute, which you can read about here.
He also spoke about his feelings towards Morison being relieved of his duties after overhauling the club's playing squad and style.
"Whether or not you feel he should have had the job, Steve, is always up for discussion. I'm always aware of what gets said. But he was given the role," he said.
"But he got them away from the relegation zone. Now I look at the summer, the overall change, he brought in 17 players. The wage bill went down, which it had to, it wasn't sustainable. It's going to take time.
"[Burnley] have brought in 15 and it's going to take us time. I've watched Cardiff a lot this year. We have played teams they have played already. I've caught a lot of Cardiff's games and they are not far away.
"I've looked at games and thought, 'They are alright'. The way they break lines, the way they play. They haven't taken their chances. They didn't play well against Bristol City, but they had great chances and opened up Bristol City.
"The game against Preston, they were miles better than Preston and should have won that comfortably. They should be on way different points to where they are now. It's still early days.
"Why would you allow someone to make 17 signings, change the playing style, then after 10 games, six weeks of the season, feel it's not for him or he's not for you anymore? I was surprised."
McAnuff on Cardiff manager job
Former Bluebirds midfielder Jobi McAnuff believes Cardiff will give Mark Hudson the opportunity to take the manager's job on a full-time basis if he produces positive results.
Cardiff said they were considering options for the position after sacking Steve Morison during the international break, however there is a belief that interim boss Hudson is right in the frame.
And McAnuff, speaking on ITV's EFL highlights show, believes the former defender has a good chance of being appointed manager permanently.
"Callum Robinson pops up with a big goal for Cardiff and a big goal for Mark Hudson in his first game in caretaker charge," he said, analysing the 1-1 draw with Burnley.
"They've shown they will give young coaches an opportunity. If he gets off to a decent start then he will have a chance of taking it on longer term."
Allsop: There's more to come from us
Bluebirds goalkeeper Ryan Allsop believes there is more to come from this squad and accepts players need to be better on the ball if they are to improve in the attacking areas of the pitch.
Cardiff showed fight and a unity to come back to earn a draw against one of the league favourites, Burnley, thanks to Callum Robinson's goal, and Allsop knows City can get better moving forward.
“It was a really tough point," Allsop said. "I think that they’re a really good team, as we saw today and previously from the homework we’d done on them.
“We were a bit disappointed to go behind in the first place, to be honest. In terms of character and fight from the lads, it was unbelievable to come back and get a point. It was hard earned.
“They’re a team that likes the ball. It’s something that we’ve tried to do this season as well. I think sometimes that we needed to be a bit better on the ball, to get control of the game. But in terms of spirit our togetherness showed in abundance today, to get a draw against arguably one of the best teams in the league.
“It's difficult. A lot of new faces in the building and people getting to know one another. The bonding we did at Edinburgh, we did one last week as well. We have done things to let the lads get to know each other on a personal level. There's a lot more to come from this group."
McGuinness coming back from injury
Cardiff City defender Mark McGuinness, currently on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, is making big strides in coming back from his injury lay-off.
The centre back, 21, started like a house on fire up at Hillsborough, but has missed the last three matches due to a muscle strain in his thigh.
Manager Darren Moore has said McGuinness is well on the road to recovery.
“He's done really well," Moore told The Sheffield Star. “We feel as if he's probably getting towards the end of the road in terms of his rehab and we really feel he’s made significant strides. By all accounts from the medical department, the reports in terms of where he’s at, he's all good.
“We’re really pleased and hopefully it won't be too long for him.”
On a potential return-to-play timeframe, Moore added: “He’s just back. Just starting to get into part of the sessions. We break down parts of the session and there have been parts of it where he has been able to join in.
“Some of the physical stuff he has to be exempt from and we manage that. It’s very early stages but it’s good, it's all part and parcel of the process we follow.”

Loan man earns MoM
Kieron Evans was named Torquay United's man of the match despite only managing a draw against Scunthorpe.
The Gulls drew 1-1 on Saturday, but Evans' performance was worthy of earning him the accolade of man of the match, his first for the club.
"Gutted that we didn’t get all 3pts today! Thank you to the fans as always for their support. First MOTM for the gulls," he wrote on Instagram.
Defeat for U18s
Cardiff's under-18s succumbed to a 2-1 defeat by Watford on Saturday afternoon.
The Bluebirds went behind two minutes into the second half before Kyle Kenniford levelled from the penalty spot.
However, an 87th-minute winner downed Cardiff in Hertfordshire.
