Dean Whitehead is confident the ongoing managerial uncertainty won't affect Cardiff City's ability to do business this month.
Whitehead has taken interim charge following the sacking of Mark Hudson last Saturday, with his first game being a devastating 5-2 mauling at Leeds United in an FA Cup third-round replay earlier this week.
He's now set to take charge of the upcoming Championship clash against Millwall, with the Bluebirds without a win in their last 10 games in all competitions - a run that's left them just three points clear of the relegation zone.

The search for a new boss could hardly have come at a more difficult time, with the club also desperately trying to salvage a January window that's so far been hampered by a transfer embargo.
Cardiff are now free to recruit players providing they don't pay a fee, and have also been permitted to recall centre-back Mark McGuinness from his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday.
The 22-year-old is in contention to be involved against the Lions this weekend, and his return will come as a welcome boost to the ranks. And Whitehead remains confident the club will be able to continue to supplement the rest of the squad, despite the uncertainty looming over the Bluebirds hot-seat.
"I think the recruitment team will have a list of players," he said. "Whoever’s in charge of the club at the time. These players will be available and they’ll be doing everything they can to get these players into the club. We’re working really hard behind the scenes to get these players into the club and hopefully we’ll have one or two before the Hull game.
"Of course. It’s not ideal. There are problems along the way, of course there is. But we have to do everything we can to get around these problems and almost do all the work we can to get the people at the football club."
Pressed on whether he was confident City would add to their squad before the close of the window, he added: "I think so. There will be. However long that takes. Whether it’ll be one, two or three days. A week. I don’t know. But I’m pretty confident they will be.
"I’m involved in those conversations like all the staff is. We come together and go through it as a staff, with the recruitment team and football staff. We go through it and we talk. There’s things in the pipeline."
Meanwhile, Whitehead insists he's not yet had any indication on what might happen next in regards to Cardiff's manager search, and says he's fully prepared to carry on for as long as he's required.
"All I’ve been told is to take the team, to prepare the team for Millwall and I’ll do that to the best of my ability," he said. "The boys will be raring to go on Saturday. That’s all I can tell you."
The search for a new boss could yet spark a shake-up in the coaching staff, of course, but Whitehead says he's not concerned about his long-term future and admits he would be interested in taking a top job himself at some point.
"I don’t have any fear for anything," he said. "Whatever happens, happens. I’ll give it my best shot while I’m here. If you fear for your position, you’re pretty much done.
"Eventually along my journey I want to be a manager. Has it come quicker than I expected? Yeah, of course it has, but this is the situation and I embrace it and take it head on."
