The 2022-23 Carabao Cup is under way earnest and Nottingham Forest will soon discover their first opponents in this season's competition.
The majority of the first round ties are on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Cambridge United were already into the second round after beating Millwall 1-0 last week.
Forest enter at the second round stage, along with some of their Premier League counterparts. Last season, they beat Bradford City in the first round before losing 4-0 at home to Wolves.

It is a cup that the Reds have won four times in their illustrious history, though not since 1990. Here are a couple of key competition rules to be aware of, plus details of the draw for the next round...
No extra time
If scores are level after 90 minutes, the tie will go straight to a penalty shoot-out. There will be no extra-time.
Subs
Teams can name up to nine substitutes on the bench, and are allowed to use a maximum of five.
Second round draw
The draw for the second round will take place on Wednesday (August 10), live on Sky Sports, following the end of the televised game between Sheffield Wednesday and Sunderland, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
It will be hosted by Sky's new Carabao Cup presenter Mark Chapman, with former Crystal Palace and Birmingham City striker Clinton Morrison and Sunderland hero Michael Gray selecting the ties.
The 13 Premier League clubs not involved in European competitions will enter at this stage, alongside Burnley and Watford from the Championship.
The draw remains regionalised at this point, so will again be split into southern and northern sections. Forest are in the northern section.
Second round ties are due to be played during the week beginning August 22.
