A driver says her insurance company has decided to write her car off because it was so badly damaged in a car wash. Emma Eames says a large part of her bumper was ripped off in the automatic car wash at Morrison’s.
Emma took Vauxhall Tigra to the supermarket and says the wheel cleaner in the machine 'lifted her car up and ripped the bumper in two'. Emma told StaffordshireLive : "I was so scared when I felt the car lifting off the ground. I told the Morrison’s petrol station [staff] and they said that a notice said Morrison's was not responsible for any damage caused. [The staff member] called the manager.
"The manager created an incident form and gave me gaffer tape to make it as safe for me to drive as he could. He passed me the masking tape and I did the bumper myself.
