A car has been torched in an Ayrshire village in an overnight attack.
An appeal has been launched after the incident in the Portland Road area of Dalrymple on Tuesday around 12.05am.
No one was injured but police believe the fire was deliberately set.
Officers are asking for anyone who noticed "suspicious activity" to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Carruth said: “We’re asking for anyone with information, or who may have seen any suspicious activity nearby to please come forward.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.
“Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 0034 of 9 May, 2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
