Car sales accelerate, with hybrids leading the charge

The Australian automotive market may have turned a corner after recording the first boost in new car sales in eight months.

Motorists purchased more than 108,000 new vehicles during March, according to figures released by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries and the Electric Vehicle Council on Thursday, or almost 2000 more than 2024.
