One person was taken to hospital after a crash which caused long traffic delays on the main road into Tenby. The two-vehicle collision happened on the A478 near Kilgetty on Monday afternoon.
The road was blocked and traffic was badly affected for more than two hours following the crash which happened near to the Murco petrol station in the village of Pentlepoir some four miles from Tenby. Police, fire crews and paramedics all arrived at the scene at around 3.30pm on Monday.
One car was left on its side in the middle of the road and other appeared to have a badly damaged wheel while one person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be cut free. Police closed off the road and asked drivers to avoid the area with traffic finally easing on Monday evening.
It’s been confirmed that one person was taken to hospital in Carmarthen following the crash with a spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service saying: “We were called shortly before 3.30pm on June 12 to reports of a road traffic collision in Pentlepoir, Saundersfoot.
