A car inferno on an Ayrshire road has been captured with motorists ‘feeling the heat’ through their windows.
Shocking images have shown the extent of the roadside fire.
The motor was found ablaze at Pennyburn Roundabout on the A78 this morning.
Flames can be seen bursting out the back of a grey BMW as thick black smoke poured out from the vehicle.
An eyewitness told Ayrshire Live: “It was quite a shock to see. The whole back of the car was ablaze.
“You could feel the heat through your windows as you passed by.
“The fire brigade were already out. It happened not far from the fire station, so they were quick to the scene.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.23am on Tuesday, November 15 to reports of a fire affecting a car at Sharphill roundabout, Stevenson.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe. "There were no reported casualties."
