Car flips onto roof in horror crash on busy Scots road causing rush hour chaos in Fife

A motor has flipped onto its roof in a horror smash on a busy Scots road.

The crash took place on the B981 northbound in Fife during rush hour traffic, sometime before 8am on Friday, May 6.

It's understood one car was involved between the Kinross turn off and Dunfermline turn off.

The incident has sparked queuing traffic between Crossgates and Inverkeithing.

A picture shared on social media shows the aftermath of the smash.

One car can be seen on its roof at the side of the road while people stand nearby.

Debris is spread across the B891, with cars queuing up on either side of the road.

It's not yet known if anyone has been injured in the collision.

However, one eyewitness who alerted emergency services reported the a woman escaped the car "looking amazingly unscathed".

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
