Person pulled from flipped car and man arrested after crash
Emergency services surrounded a busy road after a person was pulled from a flipped car.

Cheshire Police closed the southbound carriageway of the Southern Expressway in Runcorn at 5.59pm on Monday (October 17) following a "serious incident". Once emergency services arrived at the scene they found a silver car had flipped onto an embankment alongside the busy road.
One person pulled from the car was rescued by firefighters and they provided casualty care. Paramedics then treated the driver before he was rushed to Aintree hospital with serious injuries.

A "controlling" woman made her boyfriend's life an "utter misery" before she murdered him.
The Honorary Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary KC said Emma Walsh had an "irrational, extreme jealousy" as he sentenced her to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 18 years for the murder of Gary Walsh today, Monday. She was found unanimously guilty by a jury last week, having stabbed the 36-year-old - from Prescot - in the heart at her home on Lavan Close in Everton of April 10 this year following a night in the pub.
The city's top judge also told the 31-year-old killer that she had a "desire to dominate his life" and "flew into a violent and furious rage" for little to no reason. These are Judge Menary's sentencing remarks in full.
Paedophile pals rumbled by pervert bus driver's horrified girlfriend
A pair of paedophile pals were rumbled by one of their girlfriends after she discovered a horrifying log of their sickening chats.
John Murphy shared his vile stash of material over WhatsApp with other depraved individuals, including pervert bus driver David Owens. They were exposed after the latter's long-term partner became suspicious and checked his phone, revealing to her shock that they had secretly been discussing their desire to sexually abuse children.
Liverpool Crown Court heard this afternoon, Monday, that his partner of seven-and-a-half years noticed that he had "become distant" towards the end of 2020. On December 4 of that year, she "took the opportunity to look at his mobile phone" as she suspected Owens was having an affair.
