A car flipped on its roof after a collision involving several vehicles caused carnage in a Scots town. Emergency services raced to the multi-vehicle smash in Milnathort, Perthshire, around 6.15pm.
A picture from the scene shows a severely damaged white car, lying overturned in the middle of South Street, close to the New Road Roundabout. Debris from several motors is strewn across the road and a number of other cars appear to have been badly damaged in the incident.
Cops have locked down the road, and it is expected to be shut overnight. Stunned locals can be seen taking in the shocking scene.
It is not yet known if there are any injuries following the multi-vehicle smash.
Drivers have been advised to avoid the area and bus firm Stagecoach said their X56 service would not be in service, due to the accident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 6.15pm on Wednesday, November 2, to a report of a car colliding with other vehicles on New Road, Milnathort.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed.”
