A lorry carrying chickens crashed before overturning and crushing a car in a five-vehicle smash in Dumfries and Galloway.
Emergency services raced to the A75 in Crocketford at around 11.35pm on Monday night, after receiving reports of the crash involving two lorries, two parked cars and another car.
A 41-year-old driver of one of the lorries was rushed to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with a serious but non life-threatening injury.

One of the HGVs overturned on its side and crushed a silver car between its roof and a house.
Another car can be seen badly damaged nearby, with a metal signpost also having been damaged in the collision.
Locals reported hearing the animals in distress after they were flung from the lorry and scattered across the busy road.
Dominic Smith, who lives nearby, said he heard the commotion from his home and ran out to find out what had happened.
The 47-year-old said: "It was so dark and I don't think the emergency services had actually realised the truck had fully crushed one of the cars when it overturned. I put the torch on my phone and saw it sticking out a bit. I called the paramedics over as we didn't actually know if anyone had been inside at first.
"Thankfully we quickly realised there wasn't and the car had been parked. I dread to think of the outcome if someone had been."
Dominic said the sound of the injured chickens was horrific.
He added: "It was chaotic. The poor chickens were so distressed they were plucking their own feathers out. Some were still alive and some had been killed. Many had been flung out of the truck and onto the road."
Dominic said he has complained to the police and the local council over the issues on the A75, but said he fears neither are taking his concerns seriously.
He added: "The speed drivers come through here at a terrible. My house actually shakes because they drive so fast. I've complained to both the council and the police several times before but nobody seems to want to do anything to stop them. I'm worried someone is going to have to be killed before they take notice."
A Police Scotland s pokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving two lorries, a car and two parked cars on the A75 at Crocketford around 11.35pm on Monday, 21 November.
“The 41-year-old male driver of one of the lorries was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment to a serious but non-life threatening injury.
“All other drivers were uninjured.
“The road is currently closed to allow for recovery and a diversion is in place via the A711 and Dalbeattie.”
