MILWAUKEE — Monday was a busy day for Republicans at the opening of their 2024 party convention. It started with delegates formally nominating former President Donald Trump, who also announced Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio as his running mate. The activities continued throughout the day with a roster of speakers intermixed with video presentations and a live band performing classic rock tunes.
