Cape Town hit by foul stench from ship carrying 19,000 live cattle

Cape Town has been covered in a foul stench after a ship carrying 19,000 cattle docked in the harbour.

City officials had inspected sewage facilities for leaks and an environmental health team was sent to try and find the smell before it was traced to the ship, which is carrying the livestock from Brazil to Iraq.
