Cannonball supercar spectacle to blast off from Kildare Village this weekend

The Cannonball supercar spectacle is gearing up to impress crowds at Kildare Village this Sunday, March 13.

One hundred Cannonball super cars will be on display at Kildare Village between 9am and 11.30am before the stylish convoy sets off on its journey to Lismore Castle in Waterford taking in the famous V Drive and a pitstop at Circle K Cashel.

The impressive line-up of rare cars includes firm favourites such as the SLR McLaren, Lamborghini Aventador, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche GT3 RS, Maserati, Bentley, a BMW M8 Competition, an interesting selection of EV cars and much more.

Cannonball is a free family-friendly event and hosts will be on site to direct spectators to the location so they can get close, meet the drivers and grab snaps with the supercars.

Cannonball Ireland is the largest organised road trip in Europe with 190 of the finest supercars on the planet.

To date the event has raised over €1,266,000 for Irish charities.

The event was founded by Kildare businessman Alan Bannon in 2008 and already has a packed itinerary of road trips planned for 2022.

Cannonball previously took place at Malahide Castle in September 2021, giving locals and visitors from afar an intimate look at some of the world's most luxurious cars and raising funds for The HOPE Foundation, an Irish Charity doing important work with the street children of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) in India.

Meanwhile Kildare Village recently welcomed a host of new restaurants to its food and drink offering including Sprout & Co. and Saba. The popular shopping destination is home to a large number of new brands including Missoni, Sandro, Zadig & Voltaire, Livy lingerie, Maje and Johnson’s of Elgin.
