Three people have been arrested following a drugs bust in Galway were almost €1 million of cannabis plants were seized.
Gardai arrested two men, aged in their 40s, and one woman, in her 30s, after the search of a premises in Kilcolgan shortly after 3.30pm on Monday.
They discovered a "sophisticated growhouse" for the suspected cannabis plants which had a value of €950,000.

The search was carried out as part of Operation Tara was launched by the Garda commissioner Drew Harris earlier in 2022 and is focused on drug trafficking networks.
The men and woman are currently being detained at the North Western Regional HQ in Galway under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
All of the drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
A garda spokesperson said: "Investigations are ongoing."
Speaking yesterday about this seizure, Chief Superintendent Gerard Roche in Galway said: "This is a significant blow to those trafficking illegal drugs in the Galway Garda Division and we will continue to tackle organised crime and drug dealers in County Galway."
