PANCHKULA: Thousands of candidates from Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and even Gujarat, who had travelled to Panchkula to appear in the examination for the post of dental surgeon were informed that the exam had been postponed due to “administrative reasons.” Few had prior information about this change made by the HPSC (Haryana Public Service Commission), which left hundreds of candidates stranded.
They had come from far off areas with their family members a day before the examination on Saturday so that they could make it to their examination centre at 8.30am. Many started their journey to Panchkula at 4am on Sunday, only to find that no examination was being held.
