Canberra wines' 2022 vintage 'the worst I've ever seen'

January's violent hailstorm which swept north from Hall, cutting a swathe through the Murrumbateman vineyards was "like a tornado", according to winemaker Ken Helm.

It split in two near Helms Wines before heading east and west.
