Popular Canadian coffeehouse Tim Hortons is well known for its sweet treats such as Timbits and doughnuts - but apparently, the chain is “so much better” in the UK than in its country of origin. A Canadian visiting Manchester has raved about the store on Market Street as she was wowed by all the items it had to offer.
Mia from Toronto has gone viral on TikTok as she admits she feels “cheated” when ordering from the Canadian store, once she realised what Tim’s in the UK had to offer.
In her viral video, which has almost 180k views, Mia said “it’s so disrespectful that Tim Horton’s is so much better in the UK” than in Canada as she detailed her visit to the Manchester based coffee shop.

“I was in Manchester and I saw this cheeseburger and was like let me see what else they have - and they have an entire lunch menu of melts, wraps, burgers, chicken tenders.
“And the thing is, the chicken tenders and the chicken burger are halal, they have halal options, they even have a halal turkey dog,” Mia said in amazement.
Mia admitted these options are not available in Canada so would never really have considered Tim’s as a place to head to for a lunchtime meal.
Burgers, wraps and melts aside, Mia says there are still so many items the UK Tim’s has that you can’t get in the Canadian restaurants.
“I saw Oreo pancakes, maple pancakes… they also have different drinks… strawberry shakes, lemon sorbets…
“I feel like if we had these options, I would go to Tim Horton’s more but Tim Horton’s is kind of a last resort now,” she said.
One viewer suggested a reason why it may be that the UK stores have a bigger variety on their menus.
“It's because Tim Hortons is new in those markets, and needs to try much harder to get as much customers as they can”, one viewer wrote.
El Mohammed Ahmed commented: “Tims does have lunch&dinner menu in Canada right? just no burgers,” but Mia replied saying “yep it’s just a very limited lunch menu.”
