Canadian child star Samantha Weinstein dies aged 28 after battling ovarian cancer

Actress and musician Samantha Weinstein has died aged 28.

The star, who started acting at nine years old, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer two years ago.

Her father confirmed the tragic news to Global News Canada, announcing she died on May 14 at Toronto's Princess Margaret Hospital.
