US consulate shooting in Toronto sparks ‘sleeper cell’ warning as Canada police hunt for suspects

Shots were fired at the United States consulate in downtown Toronto Tuesday, sparking a search for suspects and a warning about sleeper cells.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police Chief Superintendent Chris Leather called the shooting a national security incident and said the national police force is working with Toronto police to understand the motive.
