'Can you see fire?' - Dramatic audio emerges from Ryanair flight forced into emergency Dublin Airport landing

Dramatic audio has been released from the Ryanair flight that was grounded due to a landing gear malfunction, sparking Dublin Airport into a "full emergency."

It occurred when Ryanair flight FR5542 from Liverpool to Dublin was approaching the south runway, and a trail of sparks were visible, Dublin Live reports.

The video containing the audio, from VASAviation on YouTube, shows the moment when the flight got into difficulty due to issues with the landing gear.

It was reported that nobody was hurt during the incident and shortly after the plane was moved from the runway, which was subsequently closed for some time as an investigation took place.

Following the incident, a Ryanair spokesperson said that the plane experienced "a minor technical issue with its nose landing gear upon landing."

The audio from the YouTube video shows crew members aboard the Ryanair flight make contact with the ATC tower.

Someone can be heard saying: "The Ryanair on the runway, there was a lot of smoke and sparks."

Air traffic controllers then confirm "vehicles on the way" after sparks were witnessed coming from the plane.

A crew member asks if fire or smoke can be seen to which the ATC tower replies: "No fire at the moment but there was a lot of sparks and smoke on touchdown."

They then confirm that "rescue vehicles" were on route, and subsequently tell the rest of departures that other flights have been grounded for the time being.

A Dublin Airport Authority spokesman said: "The Dublin Airport Fire Service responded, and the passengers disembarked the aircraft normally once the all clear was given by the Airport Fire Officer. Air Traffic flows into Dublin Airport were suspended during the incident."
